With the Second Overall Pick of the 2016 Empire League Camp Draft, The New Hampshire Wild Manager selects, Gregory Jasek, RHP out of Clarkson University.

Jasek, had a strong showing in day 1 of camp as pitchers got to throw their bullpens in front of all 4 team managers. Jasek impressed Manager Jerry Gonzalez when he consistently hit 93 MPH on the radar gun as well as throwing strikes.

Jasek, a two way guy, was asked to become a pitcher only by manager and become of the teams top starters. The New York native from Chittienango, NY will start the year off in the bullpen and later join the Wild starting rotation.

“He’s a great guy, i was impressed with his bullpen, i had him picked since that day, i was lucky i got him before one of the other managers did as he was ranked very high all across the board.” -NH Wild Manager Jerry Gonzalez

Although Jasek will be in the bullpen for the beginning of the season, Wild Manager Jerry Gonzalez did mention he may give Jasek one start before joining the bullpen. He is scheduled to start the 5th game of the season on June 7th.
